To help CCI achieve its goals, it is vital that students are given international exposure through culinary exchanges. We are continually seeking out like-minded institutions that share our values in order to forge mutually beneficial collaborations.
Currently, we enjoy partnerships with the following institutions:
In 2003, approval was given by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China and the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Guangdong Province for the CCI and the Occupational Skill Testing Authority of Guangdong to administer the “One Trade Test Two Certificates” at the CCI. Candidates who pass the trade test will concurrently gain the “Professional Qualification in Chinese Cuisine” issued by the CCI and the “Occupational Qualification Certificate – Chinese Cook” issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. CCI graduates and in-service chefs can sit for the Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced Level Trade Test for Chinese Chef* at CCI to concurrently gain two certificates. Students can also apply for the examination of Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering offered by The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) which elevate their professionalism and competitive edge. Chinese Master Chef programme is also available for in-service chefs with a minimum of 12 years Chinese catering experience, with recommendation from industry related organisations.
Our Recruitment and Placement team organises school visits, career talks and outreach activities in order to engage teachers and students. In addition, the team provides career counselling and placement services to help our own students develop their career in the culinary industry. We’re proud to say that our graduate employment rate reaches over 90%.
Prospective students and teachers are welcome to arrange visits by contacting the Recruitment & Placement team at 2751 5808 in advance. (Prior arrangement is required)
