CCI graduates and in-service chefs with relevant qualifications can sit for the Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced Level Trade Test for Chinese Chef* at CCI to concurrently gain two certificates. Students can also apply for the examination offered by the Royal Society for Public Health of UK to acquire the relevant certificate, which will elevate their professionalism and competitive edge.
The Chinese Master Chef programme is also available for in-service chefs with a minimum of 12 years’ Chinese catering experience, on recommendation from industry-related organisations and possess relevant food hygiene and safety Certificate.
Remarks:
*Applicants who sit for Elementary Level Trade Test for Chinese Chef must be in-service chefs with at least five years of Chinese culinary working experience and hold the Hygiene Supervisor Certificate, recognised by the Hong Kong’s Food and Environment Hygiene Department.
*Applicants who sit for the Intermediate Level Trade Test for Chinese Chef must be in-service chefs with at least six years of Chinese culinary working experience and hold the Hygiene Supervisor Certificate, recognised by Hong Kong’s Food and Environmental Hygiene Department.
*Applicants who sit for the Advanced Level Trade Test for Chinese Chef must be in-service chefs with at least nine years of Chinese culinary working experience and hold the Hygiene Manager Certificate, recognised by Hong Kong’s Food and Environmental Hygiene Department
